[Teaser Tuesdays]: July 29

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here is my teaser:

"Tessa, who had moved to stand beside Will at the table, gazed down at the paper. It was covered with a rough blueprint drawing of a human skeleton made up of pistons, cogs, and plates of hammered metal."

~p. 238, "Clockwork Angel" by Cassandra Clare.

At first I doubted at this series, but I encouraged myself since my friends said it was a good one and it really is so far! Go grab one if you like a fantasy-genre :)

  3. It sounds interesting.

Mine this week is a drama about a woman with Borderline Personality Disorder (and there may be a bit of romance in there too...)

  4. How very steampunk! I've only read the first 3 of this series, but they were a lot of fun. Happy reading! My Teaser.

I think the steampunk is only at that part. I've reached page 142, and it's still full of fantasy. No steampunk.
Did you mean by 'the first 3 of this series' is The Mortal Instruments? Clockwork Angel is not in that series, but in Infernal Devices one and it's the first of total three books.

I'll make sure to visit your blog!

  7. Thanks for commenting. I was a bit worried I wouldn't get to the whole story since I haven't read The Mortal Instrument series. But it seems I really don't have to.
